Day 4, Pittsburg
June 28th, 2008 by Chris & Shane
A wonderful stop! We, again, met an amazing pack of people who were organizing and attending the event. The Open Door at the Union Project is a great collaboration. They have the best pottery studio we’ve ever seen in their basement which produces tons of great ceramics and even stained glass. A huge thunderstorm passed overhead as we gave our presentation, cooling down another packed and hot sanctuary. Jon Felton and his Soulmobile stopped in as a part of their larger tour to play for the intermission. And their horns certainly elevated part of our time with great joy! Thanks!

I am a 47 year old, married, middle class, suburban, woman who loves Jesus and always seeking for more of Him im my life. I picked up the book Jesus for President at my local Borders store shortly after it was released and can’t tell you how much it has helped me to strip down and flush out the “religions” of Christianity and simply live (and give) as Jesus intended. Myself and three of my friends, ranging in ages of 45-56, attended your tour stop in Pittsburgh at the Union Project. LOVED THE MUSIC… LOVED THE MESSAGE!Only wished there could have been time for sharing a “questions, answers and comments” session with all of you. I have watched Shane in interviews on Godtube and hear him speak of how the young people are coming together for the “Irresistible Revolution” and will pray that it becomes contagious within thier parents and grandparents as well.

Come on, guys…Pittsburgh…

ya, it’s Pittsburgh with an “h”…though we can forgive you Eastern PA types…
Great presentation…the music and visuals were fantastic and it was great to go through the story of the bible and see it in a very different light. It put some great perspective on the political situation not only in Jesus’ day, but our own. Letting our allegiance foremost be with Christ and not our culture is a difficult thing to do, whatever our level of political involvement.
